Vöcklamarkt - Wels (Option)
Between the valleys of the rivers Vöckla, Ager and Traun, the Römerradweg (Roman Cycle Trail) winds through the landscape of the Alpine foothills.
We set off from Vöcklamarkt, past the narrow gauge railway on through the valley of the River Dürren Ager via Haunolding to Timelkam. From there it is only 7 kilometers to the district town of Vöcklabruck.
We leave Vöcklabrucker staying alongside the railway tracks to reach Attnang-Puchheim. We continue on the Römerradweg and on to Schwanenstadt, where we follow the river Ager and after some 7 kilometers reach Lambach. The Benedictine Abbey of Lambach with its library and frescoes is worth a pause. Further on near the banks of the Ager River, past the hydropower plant, the R6 leads us to Wels.
