Stage Römerradweg: Kirchheim im Innkreis – Frankenmarkt

Tour-Details
Paths covering:
Stage Römerradweg cycl path Kirchheim im Innkreis - Frankenmarkt
(alternatively to Vöcklamarkt)
The starting point is the municipality of Kirchheim im Innkreis, which has its own sports airfield. Sightseeing flights over the Innviertel are particularly worth seeing and eventful.
We continue to Waldzell, the home town of ski jumper Andi Goldberger. In recognition of his achievements, the community had a life-size statue made by Goldberger, which you can visit in Waldzell.
Arrived in Frankenmarkt, you have the option of taking the branch of the Römerradweg cycle path to the Attersee or continuing to cycle via Vöcklamarkt to Vöcklabruck.
Alternative route:
From Kirchheim im Innkreis you can also take the alternative route via Aspach, Mettmach and Lohnsburg am Kobernausserwald to Waldzell.
Between Kirchheim im Innkreis and Aspach you can refresh yourself in the Wildenau bathing lake. The air and Kneipp health resort of Aspach offers a number of Kneipp facilities. The place is also particularly worth seeing from a cultural point of view. The Daringer family of artists characterizes the townscape of Aspach. Both in the museum and on a short walk through the town you can find meaningful sculptures by the sculptor Daringer.
NEW: for mountain bikers who are enthusiastic about sports, there is access to the KTM Kobernausserwald MTB Arena in the neighboring municipality of Höhnhart
We continue to Mettmach: the cultural association KIMM brings top-class artists and cabaret artists to Mettmach several times a year.
In Lohnsburg am Kobernausserwald you can make a detour to the fruit experience garden with a berry snack garden. For very sporty people there is a steep ascent to the Kobernausserwald overlook. The beautiful view of Salzburg and Bavaria makes up for the exertion.
